Implementation Overview
摘要
Before the benefits of SNOMED CT® can be realised, it must first be implemented as part of a well-designed system. This may require a business case to secure resources for the project. Once secured, the process of implementing a SNOMED CT® enabled system is broadly similar to that of other system development projects. However, to implement SNOMED CT® effectively, terminology specific considerations must be embedded into each part of this process. For example, procurement documents must include clear requirements of expected SNOMED CT® functionality, system architectures must consider how terminology services will be provided, and SNOMED CT® value sets must be developed and bound to the relevant information structures.
