Maps to and from SNOMED CT® are an important component of many implementations, as they can help with data integration, data interoperability, performing data analytics over non-standardised data, and generating statistical reports. This chapter explains the purpose, features, and processes involved in mapping to or from SNOMED CT®. It also looks at some existing maps, tools, and training available to support the mapping process.
