We proposed and developed a prototype of a cyberspace for healing and social interaction for hospitalized patients who are forced to live in a closed space. Two sets of the system were prepared, which can be easily set up with a projector-based enclosure system instead of HMDs that are burdensome to wear. Based on the evaluation of the first prototype and suggestions for improvement, we added tactile and olfactory senses in addition to visual and auditory senses, and implemented an interactive presentation method. The effectiveness of the system will be verified in the future.

摘要

We proposed and developed a prototype of a cyberspace for healing and social interaction for hospitalized patients who are forced to live in a closed space. Two sets of the system were prepared, which can be easily set up with a projector-based enclosure system instead of HMDs that are burdensome to wear. Based on the evaluation of the first prototype and suggestions for improvement, we added tactile and olfactory senses in addition to visual and auditory senses, and implemented an interactive presentation method. The effectiveness of the system will be verified in the future.
