With the growing need to strengthen earthen structures and walls, increasingly vulnerable to climatic and natural hazards, the use of suitable stabilizers to enhance the properties of compressed earth has become essential. This study presents a comparative experimental analysis of four physico-chemical stabilization methods applied to natural soil from the Tahenaout region in Morocco. The first method, widely used, is based on lime, while the three alternative stabilizers tested include white slag, black slag, and a metakaolin-based geopolymer. An experimental program was carried out to evaluate these materials, involving chemical analyses, water immersion tests, and mechanical assessments of compressive and tensile strength. The findings suggest that, although lime ensures the best results overall, white slag shows a potential of viable alternative to consider.
