Optimization of Hemp Fiber Reinforced PLA Composite Structures
摘要
This research is focused on optimizing hemp fibers/polylactic acid bio-composite honeycomb structure using the material extrusion 3D printing process. A multiphysical model is proposed to optimize the printing parameters to maximize the mechanical properties of the printed part. Taking the specified parameters into consideration, including extrusion temperature, platform temperature, printing speed and layer height, the honeycomb cores were fabricated and their mechanical behaviour in flatwise and edgewise was analysed. Experimental measurements of the mechanical properties of the honeycomb structure validated the best process parameters.
