Climate Actions Handbook Supporting Decision Making for Regional Adaptation Strategies in Basilicata, Italy
摘要
This study presents the development of a climate actions handbook to support decision-making for regional adaptation strategies in the Basilicata Region, Italy. Through a multi-step methodology based on scientific literature and policy review, the research outlines a taxonomy of 58 adaptation and mitigation options across eight domains: Agriculture, Forest, Industry, Water, Marine Environment, Transport, Urban Areas, and Energy. Actions were evaluated and categorized according to 16 general, functional, and operational criteria, including cost-effectiveness, relevance to climate drivers and impacts, co-benefits, governance levels, and implementation scales. The result is a comprehensive and adaptable framework designed to guide stakeholders in prioritizing interventions based on contextual needs and resource constraints. This tool supports evidence-based and participatory planning processes, contributing to the long-term sustainability of regional climate adaptation strategies.
