It examines the varying levels of adoption across sectors, noting successes like eco-design initiatives in luxury goods and challenges such as logistical complexities and technological limitations. A comprehensive cost–benefit analysis is advised, addressing both tangible benefits like reduced waste disposal costs and intangible ones such as improved brand reputation. The study stresses the importance of developing practical implementation guides involving KPI (Key Performance Indicator) development and supplier evaluation. It highlights technological advancements, like blockchain and artificial intelligence, and the necessity of stakeholder engagement. Lean management principles and collaborative territorial cooperation are identified as essential facilitators. The study concludes that successful circularity integration requires a collaborative effort between businesses, governments, and researchers to overcome existing challenges and unlock the full economic and environmental potential of circular supply chains.
