Digital Reconstruction of Ancient Paper Artifacts
摘要
This work deals with the digital reconstruction of ancient playing cards. We divide the reconstruction process into several phases: color balancing and homogenization, outer contour detection and regularization, and final data fitting. We propose regularization techniques to address some of these challenges. In particular, the regularization method we developed for contour restoration has novel smoothness terms. We have successfully reconstructed some ancient cards, and the quality of these reconstructions confirms the effectiveness of our proposed technique.
