The current upheaval in the energy supply towards a more climate-friendly system is accompanied by a technological renewal, which allows completely new control and optimization approaches for the operation of the physical infrastructure through its digitalization. The energy supply system is thus becoming a cyber-physical energy system (CPES) with complex interactions between millions of distributed generation and consumption units. This paper provides insights into the characteristics of the resulting dynamic optimization tasks and how they can be attacked with distributed heuristics.

摘要

The current upheaval in the energy supply towards a more climate-friendly system is accompanied by a technological renewal, which allows completely new control and optimization approaches for the operation of the physical infrastructure through its digitalization. The energy supply system is thus becoming a cyber-physical energy system (CPES) with complex interactions between millions of distributed generation and consumption units. This paper provides insights into the characteristics of the resulting dynamic optimization tasks and how they can be attacked with distributed heuristics.
