In this chapter the basic method of describing the anatomy of a joint (in general) is considered. Factors contributing towards shoulder instability and shoulder dislocations are discussed. The rotator cuff musculature is covered along with the acromioclavicular and sternoclavicular joints as part of a thoracoacromial articulation (beyond basic glenohumeral movement).
