Chronic heart failure is a progressive and life-threatening clinical syndrome that not only affects the heart but also has significant extracardiac impacts. Among these extracardiac effects are the loss of skeletal muscle mass, cachexia, diaphragm dysfunction, and dyspnea, all of which contribute to a marked decrease in exercise tolerance and capacity. These symptoms are interrelated and tend to exacerbate one another, leading to a worsening of the condition over time. The economic burden and loss of workforce productivity due to chronic heart failure are substantial. However, cardiac rehabilitation and non-invasive ventilation have proven to be highly effective in mitigating these symptoms. In recent years, there has been growing interest in more complex treatment methods and integrated programs that combine various modalities to optimize patient outcomes. This chapter aims to explore cardiac rehabilitation, the integration of pulmonary rehabilitation into cardiac rehabilitation, and the role of non-invasive ventilation in the management of chronic heart failure.

摘要
