Chromaticity
摘要
We now know the scientific origins of color in terms of electromagnetic radiation, but as we take in the beauty of the wildflowers along the path of the hiking trail, we notice variations in color. The brilliant blue of the larkspur is clearly distinct from the deep blue of the camas. While from an aesthetic standpoint it’s probably not important to scientifically quantify the difference between these two blue colors, the concept is important in understanding the nature of color. The concept itself is called chromaticity and it is essentially the objective quantification of a color.
