This chapter concludes the book by addressing four key aspects. It explores how a focus on stories requires us to see language as both a source and a medium through which patriarchal norms and gender structures are enacted. It then revisits the book’s main empirical discussions and synthesises key findings. Attention is also given to the spaces where these narratives are most intensely reproduced, highlighting critical junctures that could serve as potential intervention points. The book closes with a reflection on the current state of policy interventions, considering their limitations and future directions.
