An Overview of PV Power Forecasting Methods
摘要
The paper summarises approaches to photovoltaic (PV) power production forecast. The review provides a baseline of the state-of-the-art for the later study of forecast approaches in volatile weather of central Europe. In general, the results show a very good performance of each model in the selected metric. Generally, the methods are applicable to any location and any type of PV system. Therefore, location specifics and the characteristics of the PV plant have a huge impact on the selection of an effective forecast model. It should be noted that there is no general benchmark for all of the models mentioned, mainly due to the complexity of the parameters of the model used and the use of different data. Winter, rainy, and cloudy days present a huge challenge to forecast models.
