Road Lighting Control Systems and Their Validity on the Example of Selected Municipalities
摘要
The article analyses the feasibility and economic profitability of using street lighting control systems in municipalities with a diverse lighting structure. The analysis covered three types of municipalities differing in their current lighting infrastructure, including the number of luminaires and control cabinets, the total power of the lighting system and the different operating times of the street lighting installation. For the aforementioned infrastructure, the costs associated with implementing a street lighting control system for individual municipalities were presented. Then, the reduction of energy consumption associated with the use of the control system was analysed, and finally, its feasibility and payback time were assessed depending on the specifics of a given municipality.
