This text addresses the proposal for reforming the design of the European electricity market and how specific proposals and measures included in this new European legislation may influence the PPA market in the Czech Republic. This market has yet to develop substantially in this country, and the aim of the text is thus primarily to illustrate how specific measures can assist in the development of this market, or alternatively, why these measures may not have significant potential to impact the PPA segment in the Czech context.
