Rupture of SVAs is a rare congenital anomaly that can lead to acute symptoms, including chest pain, shortness of breath, and fatigue. The most common site of rupture is the right sinus, with the rupture typically occurring into the right-sided heart chambers. The primary diagnostic modality is TTE, which is confirmed by TEE or CT. Surgical repair is the standard treatment; however, transcutaneous closure of the defect has become an appropriate alternative. The devices that can be used include septal and ductal occluders.
