The agricultural sector plays a vital role in driving the economy and meeting the food needs of a country. In practice, to increase crop yields and facilitate the export-import process, the state supports the widespread use of inorganic fertilisers through pesticide subsidies, which lead to long-term environmental damage. One effort to promote sustainable agriculture, boost agricultural productivity and reduce adverse environmental impacts is the use of biological fertilisers. One such organism with potential as a biofertilizer is arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF). AMF are important for soil fertility, plant physiology and ecological functions. This article reviews the potential of AMF as a biological fertiliser to enhance agricultural productivity and promote sustainable agriculture. The method used is a literature review based on secondary data from literature studies. The results indicate that AMF play a crucial role in agriculture by increasing crop productivity, maintaining soil health, protecting against plant stress and providing essential soil nutrients.

摘要
