This chapter develops a representation of distributed information flow couched in the language of category theory. This representation provides a natural formalism for specifying the functions computed by QRFs, and therefore for showing how the dynamics of generic physical systems implement information-processing operations, i.e. computations.

This chapter develops a representation of distributed information flow couched in the language of category theory.
