The developing discipline of waste material repurposing to synthesize nanoparticles for efficient and environmentally friendly water filtration is an innovative and sustainable approach. The emphasis on turning trash streams into lucrative assets can solve the world water problem. The chapter explores waste sources fit for green synthesis approaches, nanoparticle synthesis, characterization methodologies, water purification applications, and environmental and financial consequences. The chapter also covers the difficulties and prospects of this sector as well as examines the part waste categorization and sorting play in maximizing nanoparticle production. Future studies should investigate the possibilities of technology and solve these difficulties. The study reveals that the development of more effective synthesis techniques, thorough lifetime evaluations, and integration with other water treatment approaches depends on well-defined policies and legal frameworks help to hasten application.
