We present a study on summarizing the Norwegian legal texts. The methodology combines different models with pruning strategies to obtain summaries faster. Evaluation of more than 22,000 documents finds that pruning helps accelerate the process while sacrificing some accuracy. Future research has to show whether these insights generalize to other languages, domains, and tasks.
