A 64-year-old male patient with a history of severe aortic stenosis and COPD presents to the Emergency Department for an episode of constrictive chest pain, palpitations, and syncope. His lab work showed an important inflammatory syndrome (CRP = 180 mg/L), severe anemia (Hb = 6.9 g/dL), and hyperthyroidism (TSH = 0.01 IU/L).
