In this chapter, an extensive survey of significant extensions and alternative frameworks to the traditional AGM model is provided. Included are analyses of contraction without recovery, iterated change mechanisms, and multiple change operators. Additionally, the concept of update, fundamentally distinct from that of revision, is discussed. Crucially, non-prioritized belief change is introduced as a flexible and sophisticated extension for the rational management of conflicting or uncertain new information.

摘要

In this chapter, an extensive survey of significant extensions and alternative frameworks to the traditional AGM model is provided. Included are analyses of contraction without recovery, iterated change mechanisms, and multiple change operators. Additionally, the concept of update, fundamentally distinct from that of revision, is discussed. Crucially, non-prioritized belief change is introduced as a flexible and sophisticated extension for the rational management of conflicting or uncertain new information.
