Technological Tools to Foster Empathy and Emotional Intelligence in Early Education
摘要
Educators have reported improvements in children’s emotional behavior, as evidenced by a decrease in impulsive behavior and an increase in the appropriate expression of emotions. They have also noted a greater willingness to resolve conflicts using emotional skills such as active listening and negotiation. This impact also extends to the home, where parents observe a greater ability of their children to share emotions and resolve conflicts autonomously and empathically, creating a more harmonious family environment. Educators’ satisfaction with the integration of technology in the classroom has also been positive, noting that technological tools make the teaching of emotional skills more attractive and effective, encouraging greater engagement of children. However, it is essential that the use of technology is complemented by direct social interactions for balanced emotional development. Future longitudinal research is recommended to assess the long-term effects of technological tools on children’s emotional development, also considering the family and cultural context.
