Introduction: Media and Conflict Through the Eyes of Women Radio Journalists
摘要
Gender and conflict are two constitutive elements of the media. They both influence and are influenced by the media in many, at times contradicting, ways. However, little research has looked at the complex and ambiguous interconnections of gender, conflict, and the media. This book explores their entangled connections through the perspective of women journalists in proximity radio stations in Burkina Faso. The very specific lived experiences in this very specific context, allow to show broader dynamics that transcend time, space, and cultures.
