All chapters are divided into sections, dedicated to particular subjects. As a general rule, these sections concern international developments, domestic social and political conditions, planning activity in developed European countries, and urban planning in Greece. There are also sections with a focus on particular aspects of planning, e.g., the first planning law in Greece of 1835, the work of the Bavarian administration, the settlement of refugees, the work of famous personalities of the planning world, like Reinhard BaumeisterBaumeister, Josef StübbenStübben, Camillo SitteSitte, Ebenezer HowardHoward and Patrick GeddesGeddes, and British, German or French planning laws. On the whole, the structure of chapters aims at helping the reader appreciate the way town planning developments in Greece were influenced by precedents in Germany, France, England and elsewhere. All chapters start with an introductory note and end with a conclusion.
