Miranda’s Main Proclamations
摘要
Miranda’s strategy also encompasses an instrument for influencing public opinion and encouraging broad citizen participation in his democratic plan. These proclamations are eloquent and pedagogical syntheses of his arguments and political principles, developing the common identity of all Americans without any discrimination, the perversity of the Spanish regime that divided citizens in ethnic castes and knowledge control, claiming the new rights and explaining the essential factors able to launch socio-economic development which are the combination of freedom, sovereignty, the rule of law, but under the condition to be organised into a single political entity through an open, integrated region. This combination will only result from the efforts of Americans once they enjoy “equal rights, order and good laws.”
