摘要
The primary objective of this chapter is to report on building the theoretical framework for the evaluation and comparison of appropriate video-conferencing platforms for sustainable business during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is also aimed to illustrate the framework for multi-criteria decision making by assigning weights on the practical case of evaluating video-conferencing platforms within medium-sized and large enterprises. In addition to problem definition and structuring, the chapter pays particular attention to the steps that involve gathering input from decision makers and/or experts regarding the importance of criteria and preferences for different alternatives. The results of the real-life case show that the video-conferencing platform that excels concerning multiple criteria organized hierarchically is distinguished by social performance and security. The presented procedure can be well-applied to the evaluation and comparison of appropriate video-conferencing platforms for several business operations not only within medium-sized and large companies but also among small businesses when entrepreneurs need advanced options not included in the free basic versions. Furthermore, the presented procedure can be used for the selection of the most appropriate video-conferencing platform in education, training, healthcare diagnosis, maintaining friendships, religion, interaction with government, etc.
