This chapter studies the application, benefits, and challenges of artificial intelligence (AI) for learners assessment. This study is a review-based study that falls under qualitative research. The researcher collected data from various sources such as journal papers, theses, books, magazines, blogs, etc. This study highlights that artificial intelligence (AI) has improved student assessment by making grading easier, personalizing learning, and boosting academic integrity with proctoring. AI also uses predictive analytics, gamified assessments, and evaluations to enhance engagement and outcomes. However, challenges include bias, lack of human judgment, over-reliance on technology, and data privacy issues, emphasizing the need for human oversight.
