In recent years, advancements in the development of robotic instruments and robotic microscopes have led to the admission of novel systems for clinical application. The Symani Surgical System (Medical Microinstruments Inc., Wilmington, USA) is a microsurgical robot specifically designed for open procedures, featuring tremor elimination, motion scaling, and precise instruments with distal motion axes. The RoboticScope (BHS Technologies, Innsbruck, Austria) is a robotic exoscope providing a head-mounted display with 3D optics that is operated completely hands-free by head gestures. Since their CE certification for the European market in 2019 and 2020, both systems have been successfully implemented and established for a variety of procedures, which are described and illustrated in this chapter.
