Palmyra palm, or Borassus flabellifer L., symbolizes sustainability and environmental development throughout its range of applications within edible and non-edible domains, medicinal purposes, and environmental benefits. Palmyraculture is defined as the plantation and utilization of Palmyra palm for self-reliance and sustainable development. This chapter presents prospects for Palmyra in the quest for conservation through strategies involving waste valorization to achieve environmental and socio-economic development. From biofuels and biochemicals through traditional medicine to nutritional benefits, the Palmyra palm serves to illuminate the management of renewable resources. Several studies have shown innovative uses of the Palmyra palm, such as sustainable architecture and modernized handicrafts that marry traditional knowledge with contemporary practices. However, there are challenges, such as overlooking the plethora of benefits that come from this celestial tree, even after its death, that may hinder its whole potential to flourish. New policy measures to change all this, engage the community, and modernize and innovate processing techniques can unveil exciting opportunities. In today’s market, Palmyra palm material is a veritable factor in sustainable development, encompassing a closed-circuit economy beneficial to the environment as well as the local community.
