Research on a Simplified Analysis Method Based on the Design Conditions of a Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger
摘要
At present, shell-and-tube heat exchangers are widely used in various fields, such as petroleum, chemical, aerospace, military, nuclear power and so on. Because of the different demand of heat exchanger in different application, the number of heat exchanger tubes has great difference. Based on the finite element method, the important parts of heat exchanger, such as tubesheet, heat exchange tube and baffle, are modeled, the shell element is used to simulate the baffle, the beam element is used to simulate the heat exchange tube and the multi-node is used to simulate the local coupling. The stress levels of the main structural components of the two simulation methods are obtained respectively. The results show that the stress level of the important components of the heat exchanger under the design condition is similar to that of the solid element simulation, and the model analysis method is effective. This method can save a lot of calculation and analysis time without affecting the calculation result.
