Constructing Safer Worksites with AI Technology from a Human Resources Perspective
摘要
This research explores the transformative potential of how artificial intelligence (AI) is helping human resources departments (HRD) enhance safety within the construction industry, which is notorious for its high rates of occupational accidents. By integrating AI technologies, such as real-time hazard detection, predictive analytics, and automated safety inspections, the study highlights how companies with high-risk jobs can significantly improve worker safety and operational efficiency. The literature review and semi-structured interviews identified key challenges and barriers to AI implementation while also showcasing successful applications that demonstrate AI's effectiveness in reducing accidents and promoting compliance with safety protocols set by the HRDs. Findings indicate that AI-powered systems not only facilitate immediate risk management but also foster a proactive safety culture. Ultimately, this research asserts that leveraging AI is essential for creating safer work environments, thereby protecting workers and improving overall productivity. This research specifically focuses on the construction industry which is undergoing a technological revolution, and with AI-powered tools, we can ensure that worker’s safety is the top priority. To achieve this, we will need to address the following question: How can Artificial intelligence (AI) help construction workers optimize their safety?
