Determinants of Consumer Continuance Intentions in Grocery Mobile Applications: The Role of Collaboration, Information Design and Customer Satisfaction in Egypt’s Retail Industry
摘要
This study investigates the effect of mobile application design elements, specifically collaboration and information design, on consumer continuous usage intentions and customer satisfaction within the grocery retailing sector. Using quantitative analysis through structural equation modeling (SEM) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) through SmartPLS, the research validates the proposed hypotheses. The results also demonstrate that collaboration design and information design are strongly positive toward consumers’ continuous usage intentions and customer satisfaction. Also, customer satisfaction has a direct positive impact on consumer continuous usage intentions, thus confirming the role of customer satisfaction as an outcome and a mediating variable. Furthermore, the mediation analysis demonstrates that customer satisfaction mediates the relationships between collaboration design and consumer continuous usage intention, as well as between information design and consumer continuous usage intention. These results clearly emphasize how highly functional, effective, and efficient mobile applications can help increase customer satisfaction and facilitate long-lasting customer interactions. The study's findings are beneficial for grocery retailers, as they aim to improve the satisfaction and usage patterns of smartphone users who utilize specially designed retailer mobile applications.
