Prior to the pandemic, sustainability was a key concern, with questions about how to implement it while maintaining commercial viability. As the industry recovers—though not yet fully back to pre-pandemic levels—the conversation around sustainability is reemerging, and hotels are resuming discussions on how to address it effectively. It is important to know whether the hotel industry in Jakarta consider sustainable tourism principles as an important aspect for their business. This research is using exploratory study in nature, since not much studies had been done towards intention of the hotel industry in Jakarta to implement sustainable tourism principles after Covid-19. The findings highlight the significance of the idea of sustainable tourism and present a favorable view of Jakarta's five-star hotel sector. Despite several challenges, the resistance to using these methods indicates that there are creative ways to improve the sector's sustainability. While awareness and willingness are crucial first steps for hotel operators in adopting sustainable tourism practices, various external and internal factors significantly influence their ability to implement these principles effectively.
