Critical Care in Pregnancy
摘要
This chapter is a review of common indications for ICU admission and critical care scenarios as they apply to the pregnant or recently postpartum patient. It emphasizes the recognition and common treatment pathways of disorders that are both unique and indescript from the gravid condition and provides a guide for obstetric trainees to synthesize these complex pathologies. It also highlights foundational critical care concepts such as vasopressor use, blood products, vascular access, hemodynamic monitoring, and basic ventilator management. While this chapter is robust, it is not comprehensive and rather, provides a jumping off point for future directed learning.
