Women are important in advancing the SDGs because gender equality is a fundamental goal and significantly impacts achieving other goals. Organizations with more women in leadership often see improved financial performance. This is attributed to the diverse range of perspectives that contribute to more effective decision-making, foster innovation, and fortify risk management. This article seeks to conduct a scientometric analysis of women and EP, to identify important trends, influential works, and emerging research themes in this domain. Leveraging the Scopus database as the primary data source, a total of 408 publications spanning from 1994 to 2024 were retrieved. The principal discovery pertains to the rapid upsurge in literature reviews related to women and financial performance. Notably, European countries, including Spain, England, and Germany, alongside Asian countries such as India, China, and Malaysia, emerge as active contributors to the research and publication landscape on women and financial performance. The articles most frequently cited center around the themes of financial performance, gender diversity, and corporate governance. This underscores the significance of these areas in scholarly discourse and research on women and financial performance.
