Mapping the Evolution of Brand Love to Support Business Growth: A Bibliometric Analysis

Technology treats people as non-bound individuals and plays to create preferences between brands and consumers and drive business. Such attracted consumers are more likely to work to keep the brand visible and to recommend the brand to others. This bibliometric review is designed to explore the development of brand love research by mapping trends and examining seminal papers that can inform the development of more robust brand loyalty strategies for the consumer engagement perspective. The Scopus database was used as the main source of data, for which a total of 395 publications were retrieved for the period from 2006 to 2024. The five most dominant countries of origin contributing to the study and publication of brand love: China, USA, India, Portugal, and UK. Papers most often cited normally relate to keywords of ‘brand loyalty’, ‘brand trust’, ‘brand experience’ and ‘purchase intention emphasising the main focus of research around emotional attachment and repeat customers. This bibliometric review shows that the concept of brand love strengthens emotional bonds between consumers and brands, leading to increased loyalty and repeat purchases. Based on text mining and an analysis of 395 publications produced from 2006 to 2024, it highlights China, the USA, India, Portugal, and the UK as leading contributors. The predominant themes are captures such as brand loyalty, brand trust, brand experience, and purchase intention, which emphasize emotional ties and customer engagement.
