Traditional data-centric communication schemes are often constrained by the limited transmission bandwidth between UAVs. To address these challenges, this chapter introduces the semantic communication paradigm into UAV swarm networks. Such paradigm aims to reduce data transmission volumes and enhance communication efficiency by transmitting only the semantic information extracted from raw data, rather than transmitting the entire dataset.
