Laparoscopic suturing and tissue approximation are vital skills for a successful surgical career. Even though tissue approximation devices, such as staplers, have been designed and made available for laparoscopic surgery, the issues of leakage at the anastomotic site and mesenteric defect still need to be addressed with the art of laparoscopic suturing. This underscores the seriousness of learning, acquiring, and mastering this all-important laparoscopic surgical skill with greater intensity of physical effort.
