The purpose of this paper is to investigate the evolution over the past nine years (from year 2016 to year 2024) of statistical expertise disseminated within our Institute, analyzing and describing the courses of the training offered in Istat and outlining possible future developments. The analysis shows that in the last 9 years the human resources training sector has maintained training on the core statistical methodologies for official statistics, according to European Statistics Code of Practice and has offered innovative courses respecting the needs of growing innovation, in compliance with European laws about privacy and protection of personal data, ensuring a good level of training in soft skills.
