Green Nanomaterials for Biomedical Applications
摘要
Green synthesis methods for nanoparticles (NPs) have emerged as a promising approach to revolutionize traditional chemistry, offering both environmental and economic advantages. By utilizing green materials rich in polyphenols, proteins, biopolymers, and other biomolecules, this sustainable alternative to chemical reagents enables the synthesis of NPs with superior properties compared to those produced through conventional methods. Nanoparticle characterization is a crucial step in green synthesis, ensuring the quality and efficacy of these nanomaterials. Green-synthesized NPs are finding increasing applications in various fields, including pharmaceutical industries, agriculture, diagnostics, supplements, healthcare products, and targeted drug delivery systems. The convergence of green nanotechnology with drug delivery systems has given rise to a new era of “green nanomedicine”, promising sustainable and effective solutions for numerous biomedical challenges. Herein, it is provided an updated overview of the biomedical applications of green nanomaterials, with a particular focus on tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. We also identified potential gaps and opportunities for future research in this exciting field.
