The theme of Industry 4.0Industry 4.0 offers local expertise and industry-specific technical know-how together to the Indian automotive and aerospace industries. With the challenge of maintaining stringent manufacturing standards to meet quality standards while reducing environmental degradation, JMKI adopted a holistic systemic approach incorporating pollution prevention, resource conservation, lean manufacturingLean manufacturing practices, and alternative sources of energyEnergy efficiency. The major programs consist of a 200 KW rooftop solar powerSolar power facility, water-conserving efforts, and eco-friendly material usage. The benefits included significant reductions in waste, emissionsEmission, and operational costs, well-balanced with the environment. This reflects their efforts to continue improvement that the organization carry in its ISO certifications and active initiatives towards sustainability. This study also highlights how JMKI, in a way, combines emerging manufacturing techniques with strong environmental orientation, thereby making it a market leader in sustainable manufacturing.
