Digital transformation in the industry has fostered the automation of processes, giving rise to Industry 4.0, characterized by digitalization that enhances the flexibility and interconnection of productive activities. This phenomenon presents challenges in data management, analytical capabilities, human–machine interaction, and the digital transfer to the physical world. To address these challenges, there is a focus on implementing scalable and reliable digital system architectures, leading to the emergence of the DevOps approach, which integrates development and operations to improve product quality. A project in the Cuban biopharmaceutical sector evaluates DevOps tools to advance towards Industry 4.0, guided by the IT Consulting Methodological Framework and through a case study set in cloud and edge computing environments. The identified DevOps practices include rapid deployments and event-driven microservices architectures, prioritizing security with identity management systems. Additionally, monitoring tools are implemented to ensure effectiveness in the adoption of digital technologies, thereby optimizing processes in the Cuban industry.

摘要
