Algorithm and Software for Automatic Processing Measured Instantaneous Angular Velocity on Marine Propulsion Plant
摘要
Instantaneous Angular Velocity (IAV) as a new solution is used in the sea-trial tests to measure the torsional vibration according to the maritime registration organizations. Measuring IAV is more convenient than measuring torsional deformation on the rotary shaft surfaces using strain gauges. The cost to measure IAV is lower than the cost of measuring strain gauges on the shaft of marine main propulsion plant. The article proposed algorithms and coded software on LabView to process measured IAV signals to produce results in accordance with the rules for classification and construction of steel sea-going ships. The work verified the IAV measured on the main propulsion plant of the container vessel CV. XXX–XXX, that was built and sea—trial tests in Korea.
