The development of advanced language models like AI Chatbots has garnered attention and sparked numerous debates within the academic community about their applications and significance in education and technical research. This article conducts a thematic analysis of recent literature to explore the use of AI Chatbots in educational settings. The study employs a thematic analysis method based on 8 papers from the primary data source used in the study by Hanh (J Educ Technol, 2024). This research provides a comprehensive view of the opportunities, challenges, and ethical considerations related to integrating AI Chatbot technology into technical education practices. The main themes identified and discussed include the use cases of AI Chatbots, potential limitations, and responsible deployment strategies. The analysis highlights the transformative potential of AI Chatbots in enhancing the learning experience while emphasizing the need for a proactive and conscientious approach to mitigate ethical risks and ensure effective technology adoption. This includes reinforcing academic integrity and aligning with core educational values. Insights from this thematic analysis provide valuable references for educators, researchers, and policymakers in guiding the rapid development of artificial intelligence in education. The findings stress the importance of developing appropriate educational policies and practices to maximize the benefits of AI Chatbots while safeguarding ethical and academic values in technical education environments.
