Every year, millions of people, particularly the elderly, suffer from strokes which often lead to upper limb paralysis and significant challenges in performing daily activities. Rehabilitation emerges as a simple yet highly effective solution to address these issues. This paper presents an exoskeleton arm to aid stroke patients in their rehabilitation process. The exoskeleton arm, having 4 degrees-of-freedom (DoF), is engineered with a simplistic structure and cost-efficient design. It can execute several basic exercises at a consistent pace. The experimental results reveal that exoskeleton arm’s joints closer to the forearm exhibit superior precision compared to those situated near the shoulder.
