New Finding of the Magnetic Shielding Effect in a Magnetic Shielding Device with the Structure of Concentric Cylindrical Shells Made of Mumetal
摘要
By finite element simulation (FEM) and experiment, we show the possibility of constructing a magnetic shielding device that has a special feature. When a magnetic field is applied, initially the magnetic field inside the device is almost zero, to a threshold value, the device becomes transparent for magnetic flux. As a result, from this point, the magnetic field inside the device increases propotionaly with increasing the applied field and the sensor located inside the device begin measuring the changes in the magnetic field with its original sensitivity. In addition, we propose the way to alter the threshold magnetic field and the shielding factor by varing the geometric parameters of the device.
