ETS are non-profit organizations that pursue civic, solidarity and charitable purposes. For an ETS, financial support from private donations and partnership programs with companies is relevant. Fundraising campaigns are of great interest, also due to technological development, enabling increasingly adequate tools. This project focuses on understanding how Functional Data Analysis (FDA) could be useful for proposing a smoothed estimate of the intensity of a specific campaign and what information could be extrapolated from this approach. The first part explains the techniques considered and describes the characteristics of the estimated functions. The second part shows the results stemming from a functional approach. The focus could be either on individuals, leading to questions on the loyalty process, or on the monthly frequency of specific campaigns, leading to an understanding of the simultaneous dependencies and the internal structures.
