Children today are more connected to the internet than ever before, benefitting from educational resources, social interactions, and entertainment. However, this increasing digital engagement also exposes them to various forms of cybercrime, including online grooming, cyberbullying, identity theft, and child sexual exploitation. This chapter explores the different ways in which children become victims of cybercrime, the psychological and social impacts of such victimization, and the vulnerabilities that make them easy targets. It also examines the legal and regulatory gaps in protecting children online and provides recommendations for strengthening child protection measures. By leveraging technological interventions, legal reforms, and parental guidance, society can work toward creating a safer digital environment for children.
